Discipline: Hebrews 12:11
Think About It
In any endeavor, one is expected to engage in certain disciplines if he/she desires to succeed. It is no different in the life of a Christian. If one truly wants to grow as a follower of Jesus, discipline in necessary. The following is a short list (there are more)) of disciplines a faithful Christian will engage in if he/she truly desires to be more conformed to the image of Jesus.
Christ: Prayer, meditation on God’s word, giving, worship, and serving.
For the moments all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
