Prayer for Grace‭‭ - II Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬-‭18‬

I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

There is something special about a work or intention when the person who does it, does it even though it is challenging for them. Paul had ailments and had others write his letters for him. It is not too far of a stretch to say it was likely hard for him to write. This could be because of blindness, arthritis, or a number of other issues.

Yet he finished this letter in his own hand. And he closed by praying over them the grace of Jesus.

If there’s one thing I know, it is that I need the grace of Jesus so much. I deserve to live a sinner‘s life eternally. In God‘s grace I was given the gift of Jesus Christ as my Savior. I was rescued. I was redeemed. I was healed. And I was freed.

Praise you, Lord Jesus, for this wonderful gift that you gave me. I don’t deserve it. You shower me with your grace and love anyways. I am your bond-servant. I’ll seek after you for the rest of my life.
