Don’t Be Anxious Proverbs 12:25
In Matthew’s gospel (Matthew 6:25-38), Jesus uses the word anxious five times, stressing how we must avoid anxiety. God knows very well those things which cause us to be anxious. They are very real and we’re probably faced with some of them on a daily basis. However, Jesus was telling us not to be consumed by them; to not dwell upon them, but keep our focus on He who promised to provide everything we need for life and godliness. (2Peter 1:3)
Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down,
but a good word makes him glad.
