As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

We see a lot of discussion in life and in the news outlets about what makes us different. Discussions about race, color, upbringing, where we are from, etc. — these are all centered around finding out why people make decisions that we don’t understand. But the biggest differentiator in people is whether they follow God in life. Do they know his Son Jesus? So getting to the root of the issue … why is this? It is because everyone was created with a God-sized hole in our hearts that only he can fill. We may try to fill up this hole with so many different things. But none of them satisfy for long. So when we find our life purpose and our identity in God (through a relationship with Jesus Christ) we can live how God designed us to live! He is waiting. Will we stop trying to live life on our own and in our own strength?

So coming back full circle, it is not the background, location, color or race of a person that determines their value or worth in life. It is their relationship to God. And he is waiting for all his creation to acknowledge Jesus the Savior, and come into His grace.

Lord, thank you for your truth which is what really matters in this life. The truth is … I was designed to live in relationship with you. And not just a far off, distant relationship; but a close and daily one. Thank you for loving me in spite of my sin, my weaknesses, and my failures. I am your child, use me to accomplish your ways and bring more into your Kingdom of love and truth!
