There was an estate nearby that belonged to Publius, the chief official of the island. He welcomed us to his home and showed us generous hospitality for three days. His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured. They honored us in many ways; and when we were ready to sail, they furnished us with the supplies we needed.

Romans 8:28 AMP
And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
God works things out for our good and his glory. He always does.
Here we see after all of the twists and turns — hurricane, shipwrecked, and snake bitten — God has put Paul in a position where he can heal all those on the island, bless the islanders with the truth of Jesus, and in the end, gain a ship to set sail to Rome. This was a blessing to all 276 men on board.
Where are you in the story of God’s faithfulness? Are you at the beginning, with everything being new, fresh, and unknown? Are you in the middle of trials that test your faith? Or are you at the end where you see God come through in big ways?
To God, what part of the journey we are in is less important than the heart we have to take into the journey. We must have a pure heart, one that is faithful and true. We must know the truth and the truth will set us free when the trials and entanglements of this world come.
Paul was such a man, faithful to the end. And God rewarded him with great favor to lead, heal, teach, and disciple.
Lord, may my life be lived with a pure heart and one that is faithful in all times to you.
