In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

I have always dreamt of having a hidden inheritance somewhere. What would it have been like to have a distant relative that left me a great fortune?

As I have grown older, I realize that the biggest part of my legacy and my inheritance is my children. It is one that lasts long past my lifetime. So, I intend to equip and invest in them. I want them to be closer to God than I am, to be more successful than I am, and to be farther along in their faith track than I was at their age.

Here we see that God saw Israel as his inheritance. And he protects them and judges their enemies.

He also promises to restore their fortunes. I serve a God who plans for my abundance, because the God of the Israelites is the same God of the World today. Will I believe it and live in the confidence of the BIG shadow of a BIG God?

Lord, you love me. You plan for my best. And you seek me out and want to know me. Thank you for all of the ways you have provided for me recently. I see your hand almost daily! Bring your goodness, Lord, and judge those who cause your children to suffer.
