The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. He testifies to what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts his testimony. Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit.

How do I speak — as one from this earth? Or do I speak as a citizen of a heavenly kingdom? My spiritual hometown matters! Jesus was the one sent from Heaven to earth, and when we follow him we learn to speak as he spoke on earth. Jesus was above all. This means he was granted authority over all by his birthright. And so he does not need to theorize or pontificate about God, who he is, what matters to him, and how he works. HE KNOWS HIS HEART. He has consulted with him in his throne room. He saw his hand in action! And when we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we certify that God is truthful, because God declared at Jesus’ baptism that Jesus was his Son. And the one God sent speaks his words.

How do I know this? Because God gives His Spirit without limit. This has been proven throughout Jewish history, just look at the lives of Moses, Elijah, Daniel, and David. And Jesus was full of God’s Spirit, as well.
Do I feel full of God’s Spirit? Do I truly believe God will fill me full of His Spirit? When we accept Jesus into our heart as Lord and Savior, we gain the Holy Spirit in our hearts. And when God gives the Spirit, he gives the Spirit WITHOUT LIMIT! Oh, what limitless power and love I can have with the gift of “The Spirit without limit”. Incredible! Lord, I believe today that you give me your Spirit without limit. May your Spirit enable me to shine your grace and love and truth to all those around me today.
